6 Week Sculpture Class

Worskshop Description
July 10 & July 17 / Weeks 1-2 Focus on building 3D Wind Chimes and learn to: • Sculpt basic figurines • Balance overall composition and weight • Work with mixed-mediums • Assemble multiple elements into a cohesive sculpture July 24, 31, and August 7 / Weeks 3-5 Focus on Green Man projects and learn to: • Build form based on human anatomy vs caricature • Sculpt with additive modeling and subtractive carving techniques • Mimic various textures • Create symmetry and balance There will be no class on August 14. This will be a one week break to allow for drying and firing before the final week on August 21 focusing on glazing and assembling the wind chimes. What to bring: • A damp box (if you have one) • A roll of masking tape • Clear fishing line will be provided to assemble wind chimes, but if you want a different string, please bring it

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I understand that participating at a pottery studio includes the use of tools and equipment that could potentially be dangerous. As is the case with any pottery studio you enter, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I acknowledge that I understand that myself or my child will be operating and using a pottery wheel and all the accompanying tools that go with it. I acknowledge that participation in pottery classes exposes me or my child to a possible risk of personal injury. I am fully aware of the risk and hereby release Sira Lawless and Enkindle Pottery Studio from any and all liability, negligence, or other claims arising from, or in any way connected with, participating in a pottery class. I shall not now, or at any time in the future, bring any legal action against Sira Lawless or Enkindle Pottery Studio, and that this waiver is binding on me, my heirs, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, my successors, and my assigns. I realize that I (or my child) is participating in pottery classes at my own risk.
