Meet the Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

I have always enjoyed creative expression, but never felt such a strong pull to create again as when I started working with clay. I am dedicated to functional pottery in beautiful shapes with carving and design that encourage you to view the world outside of its formalities. I believe life is a pattern of experiences shared through a common goal to connect to others. Creativity brings people together celebrating our beauty and awkward imperfections!
When I'm not in the studio, I find fun with my teenage boys and inspiration on horseback.

I like to think of my work as my story. Each piece of art that I make is a feeling, a thought, or a small moment in my life that is screaming to get out. I love that I can make things that are uniquely my own. And in a time where anything you desire can be delivered to your doorstep with the click of a button, I love that I am able to create things that require time to make. To be a maker in a world run by machines is incredibly gratifying. My work is my story. My work is me.

I’ve always loved working with my hands and being creative, so I jumped at the opportunity to discover the world of pottery with Kim Press. It quickly became my passion. There is nothing like walking into the studio and smelling that earthy smell of clay and getting lost in a creation at the wheel. I’ve always said that pottery is my therapy. It’s my time to reconnect with the earth and my thoughts while challenging myself to create something new. I am a teacher by trade, so I am thrilled to be able to combine the world of teaching with the world of pottery. I’m happy to be a part of Enkindle’s team.

I may have gone to school to be an electrical engineer, but my creative side drove me to my first pottery class in 2015… and I was hooked! There is nothing that will teach you more patience and adaptation than pottery. I love throwing porcelain on the wheel, as well as hand building with a variety of different clay bodies. Carving, piercing, sgraffito, nerikomi, and coloring clay are some of my favorite things to do with my work. Working with clay truly has no limits! I’m so excited to teach at Enkindle Pottery Studio and pass this gift on to the next generation of potters. See you at the studio!

Hello. My heart is so happy to be a part of Enkindle Pottery Studio. I started creating pottery in 2021 with the expert teachings of Kim Press. Pottery allows me to express myself creatively while making beautiful, useful, and sometimes clumsy pieces for my family and friends.
I look forward to seeing you in the studio and offering tips and tricks.

Hi! I’m Emily, and I’m thrilled to share my love for pottery with you. I have a BA in Fine Arts from Austin College and years of experience in all the arts and crafts.
I love taking classes and exploring new techniques. My goal is to create a fun and welcoming environment where you can explore and express yourself through clay.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me hanging out with my dogs, brunching, or taking classes. I can’t wait to embark on this artistic journey with you!
