Open Studio

Open studio is time in the studio to work on your own. No class, no teacher, just you, the wheel, and whatever you're making.

Who it's for

Potters who can work independently, from wedging through glazing. That means you've finished at least one six-week class at Enkindle, or you have comparable experience and have talked to us first. There's no staff or instructor on duty during open studio, so you need to know your way around a wheel, trimming tools, and the glaze wall before you book.

How it works

Book your session in the Wix Spaces app, let yourself in with your digital key, and get to work. Sessions run during open studio hours (below). Clean up as you go, leave your space ready for the next person, and be out by the end of your slot. Members manage their own bookings and cancellations online.

What's included

Wheels, tools, and equipment, the full studio glaze palette, bisque and glaze firing, and one assigned shelf. Clay is sold in the studio and must be purchased before you use it. We don't fire work made elsewhere.

What to bring

Your own apron and towels. Clay finds everything.

A few things to know

Sign every piece. Keep glaze off the bottom and ¼" up the side, or it's a $20 drippy pot fee.

Outside cone 5–6 food-safe glazes are welcome, but check with us first and test anything new on a tile. Label your shelf; unlabeled or untouched work is cleared after 30 days. Kilns fire as they fill, so plan on 1–2 weeks for turnaround. This is a hobby studio, and can't accommodate production volume pottery.
